Decanting TechniqueGVA Decanting units – A crucial process step

The clarified water extraction phase is very important to the quality of the purified water, especially in SBR plants. In this phase, the specially developed GVA decanting equipment ensures effective phase separation and prevents floating sludge from entering the outflow. The decanting unit capacity is designed to match the corresponding outflow specifications.

The lowering procedure for the decanting unit operates with forced control. The descent speed can be adapted to meet the corresponding requirements. Immediately after the draining process is completed, the decanting unit is moved to its top position so that mixed sludge cannot seep back in during the subsequent operating phases.
